How do I enrol in Toi Tupu?

To enrol in Toi Tupu, you can apply for yourself, or on behalf of your children (under-18) clicking enrol now above and filling out our form.

What do I need to enrol?

  1. You must be a registered member of Ngāti Whātua Orakei.
    If you have not yet registered with Ngāti Whātua Orakei, register here.
  2. You need to provide us with your personal information for each person enrolling:
    Full Name, Date of Birth, Address, Email, Phone/Mobile, Tax Residency
  3. If you are enrolling children under the age of 18, we need your signature to confirm that you are the authorised guardian acting on their behalf.
  4. If you are a New Zealand tax resident and do not provide an IRD number you will be taxed at the highest rate (from 1 April 2020 tax on interest is 45%).

    Already have an IRD number but don't know what it is? You can find it:
    -in your myIR Secure Online Services account
    -on letters or statements from the IRD
    -on your KiwiSaver statement
    -on your income details from your employer
    -or you can ask your bank.
  5. You need to tell us what Income Tax Bracket you belong to. If you earned:

    • (A) If you earned between $0 and $15,600 in the last year, your tax rate should be 10.5%.

      (B) If you earned between $15,601 and $53,500 in the last year, your tax rate should be 17.5%.

      (C) If you earned between $53,501 and $78,100 in the last year, your tax rate should be 30%.

      (D) If you earned between $78,101 and $180,000 in the last year, your tax rate should be 33%.

      (E) If you earned more than $180,000 in the last year, your tax rate should be 39%.
