Maintenance Person - Eastcliffe Retirement Village

Full time | Tāmaki Makaurau

Eastcliffe Retirement Village is a beautiful small village located on the top of Takaparawhau (Bastion Point) in Ōrākei looking out to the Waitematā harbour and beyond. We have an opportunity for an experienced maintenance person to join our team and help drive our maintenance programme.

In this role you will:

  • Work in a team providing the village with an effective maintenance service with responsibility for the safety, repair and appearance of all buildings, equipment, and facilities.
  • Develop and implement a preventative, proactive, and reactive maintenance program.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety policies are adhered to and work within our health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff; report hazards as appropriate.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance role.
  • A trade background/qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Computer skills with knowledge of asset management programmes.
  • Highly organised and motivated with the ability to take initiative and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • A current Drivers Licence.
  • Proven customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with residents.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • The ability to work in a team environment or autonomously as required.
  • Reliable and friendly with a professional manner.
