Office Closed 29 September 2022 for a Team Strategy Day

About the project

We’re teaming up with Resene to create a bespoke paint colour palette that provides options when we refurbish whānau housing in Ōrākei and for development projects undertaken by the Property team. We use more than 2,000 litres of paint every year and that will only increase as our refurbishment programme and housing developments accelerate. The idea is to create colours and names that reflect Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei.

  • Now until 5 August: Collate inspirations – Whānau submit images of inspiration that reflect the hapū
  • Mid-August: Match colours – A roopu will start to group colours and shortlist shades for the palette
  • September: Finalise colours – Whānau to give feedback on the shortlisted colours
  • September: Name colours – Our cultural experts and kaumātua will provide guidance on names for the colours
  • October (TBC): Launch - NWŌ and Resene launch colours at Kupe Street store
